February

… ….a month when love is in the air

Or maybe its just in the head

And everyone has gone berserk

painting the town red

PS #humorsake no offense to anyone but I’ve never understood the concept of celebrating love on a specific day #justsaying

  1. Celebrate love on at least this day. Otherwise we are busy eating wars

    1. Why reduce it to one day is precisely my problem…….it’s for everyday … doesn’t have to be lavish but in our own little way…… Its like have one exam in the whole academic year ……..we will waste more than half of the year thinking we can catch up in the end with a little more effort …….done and forgotten. I like surprise tests 😝

      1. Humm. It’s difficult everyday. Sometimes we are tired, sometimes agitated, sometimes somber. At least we can celebrate for a day

      2. Haa haaa why make it a chore my friend … …but we all have our own opinions. …..for me it is like make your own special days …but for others it could be one day to loosen up. …….😊

  2. Considering folks in the US will spend close to $20 billion this year on Valentine’s gifts, I’d say love has nothing to do with it πŸ™‚

    1. CORRECT … .I so wanted to say ….it’s another gimmick of making money .. …than anything to do with love …..but thought that’ll be harsh ………but thank you so much for sharing this……. I am glad I am not alone

      1. HAha, yes, it is, purely commercial. When you love someone, you show them every day and you don’t need some commercialized day that encourages you to break the bank just to say I love you.. It’s breakfast in bed when least expected, a flower for no particular occasion, an i live you in the middle of a conversation, the way we look at one another and the way we touch. We really don’t need to wait until the middle of winter to celebrate love. Ok, end of sermon. Amen lol

  3. Same here. Why to celebrate love on just some specific day, when we can express it through little innocent ways all time.

  5. I specifically tell my husband NOT to buy me flowers on a day the world tells him to as it’s more thoughtful if he does it randomly.. I love a surprise 😊

    1. I so agree with you …….. Doing something just because it is supposed to be done makes it meaningless …….it Should be impromptu ….. ..or on a day we need it most

  8. You’re so freakin adorable with your unnecessary apology at the end! How could you ever offend anyone.
    I loved your verse.
You’re right. Love shouldn’t be for one day only . True love doesn’t give a poop what day it is.
Now I’m not doing any fact checking about this but I am pretty sure… (looking around hoping no one is about to Wikipedia this lol) but I am pretty sure St Valentine would help people get married and perform the ceremony for them when the church wouldn’t allow them to marry for some reason. And then I think they executed him for it?
So not super romantic in the end but a man who fights for love and especially for others to be with the ones they love against the odds is very cool for me.
Shame we’ve commercialised the living daylights out of such a profound sacrifice.

But I do love a beautiful romantic gesture…and if it’s on valentine’s Day…well I’ll still love it lol.

Many of these for you, gorgeous ❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️

Now didn’t know much about this story of St Valentine …. thank you for enlightening me favorite…….I agree with everything you said……as long as it’s a genuine gesture and not because it has to be done ……..I’ll love it tooπŸ’•β€οΈ
