Cessation

I thought

You took out the best in me

So my heart held gratitude

And ignored the

Snub and scorn

To maintain the smile in thoughts

To hold you as a treasured memory

Was the intent

Not an attempt to invade

For you may not know

But my heart is already content

Bitterness should not always be the end

I still will not return your rage

Call names or join the blame game

My choice remains grace

Apologies for crossing your path

But thank you for stopping by mine

  1. I love that word, cessation. Got my attention straight away (not that you need to try very hard to get my attention honey)
Your beautiful philosophy is so right here.
I always try to give thanks for those who caused me pain because they made me who I am and mostly, I like me, lol.
We learn from everyone who crosses our path.
    Such a wonderful write πŸ˜˜πŸ’‹
